Improving Dental Implant Techniques
I believe it is important to learn all I can to improve the care I am able to provide. To that end, I have been participating in a continuing education experience focused on dental implants. The training takes place in Dallas, TX, and I most recently completed the third installment of five. If you watch the video, you will see that this course is completely hands-on, so I am ready to take everything I learn and immediately include it in the treatments I provide to my patients.
What are Dental Implants?
If you are unfamiliar, a dental implant replaces the entire tooth structure, including the root. The multi-step process involves placing an artificial tooth root into the jawbone. Once healed, the process can be completed with an artificial tooth structure, such as a dental crown. As I explain in the video, the training that I just received was on how to place more implants in a patient’s mouth. I love placing implants for patients who need a tooth replacement because it restores the function of the tooth and allows them to enjoy foods they may have been avoiding. It also provides a beautiful result that patients love to show off.
